56th Annual Daffodil Spring Flower Show PDF Print E-mail

The Omagh 56th Annual Daffodil and Spring Show takes place at St Columba's Hall from 2.0pm on Sat 5th May. The Show will feature a range of flowers and floral art as well as a variety of daffodils staged by exhibitors from all parts of the North and South of Ireland.

There is an open invitation to all who would like to exhibit their flowers - there is a class for all standards - entries do not have to be perfect - exhibits from Novices as well as Experienced exhibitors are welcome. Teas and refreshments are available.

Here are some great tips from Gardeners World for jobs that you should be doing around the garden -


Keep deadheading dahlias - Clear away and compost spent veg plants - Plant garlic cloves in module trays indoors -

Remove annual plants from summer containers - Plant wallflowers in a sunny position - Reduce the height of roses to prevent windrock damage - Divide and revive perennials - Stake tall growing perennials - Clear old leaves from hostas -

Perk up pots with heucheras - Plant out autumn onion sets directly in the soil - Plant garlic in November.
