Annual Spring Show 2014


The 52nd Daffodil and Spring Flower Show was a successful and enjoyable occasion for all those who entered exhibits and visitors who came to look at the wonderful array of colourful displays and exhibits.

There was a record number of entries in all the various classes with the Childrens Section creating special interest. The art pieces submitted by the children were creative and talented interpretation of themes while their garden and wild flower section showed great talent.

The Daffodil Section was a delight with so many varied and unusual variities to catch the eye. The Flower Section continuous to attract lovely exhibits covering all aspects for flowers blooming in the spring. Floral Art exhibits provided the "wow" factor with so many brilliant and colourful arrangements to view.

A new addition to the event this year was the presentation of the new Olive Parke Trophy to replace the original cup presented by Olive in 1973.

A total of 12 judges travelled from across Nth Ireland as well as from North East England to attend the event. Prizes were presented by Tom Sweeney of Local and International fame in the music business. The Show was brought to a conclusion with a reception and dinner in Omagh Golf Club.
